FOLK VILLAGE

Splendid China Folk Village is a theme park that amasses replicas of China's popular landmarks. Although the shows were in Chinese, it was thrilling to see a reenactment of a warhorse battle as well as the famous Chinese plate spinners. Other spectacles included  Tibetan dance and a challenging game that resembled hurling a yo-yo into torches of various heights.

 

In an amusing photo shoot, a staff member dressed me in many traditional outfits, complete with parasols, fans, and hats. More impressively, even as a masculine kind of guy, he demonstrated the cutest and most feminine Chinese poses for me to emulate.
