There are only a few differences between Sydney, Australia and San Francisco, California. These include driving on the left side of the road and the presence of welcoming beaches, such as the famous Bondi beach.

 

A favorite activity was riding in a Zorb ball at Sydney Harbor. I jumped into the ball and paddled furiously for 5-minutes while amused locals looked on. 

 

My trip to Australia was also the first time a couchsurfing host generously hosted me for four days. I was taking a chance because Matt's profile had not listed any recommendations from past couchsurfers. However, I really lucked out. He had a cute rabbit named Charlie and even bought fancy, takeout pizza for dinner.
